Is Chroma a clean environment?

We adhere to the strict body art regulations set forth by the Tri-County Health Department and we are inspected by their staff annually. Our team is trained in blood borne pathogens and cross-contamination as well as universal precautions.

Our techs use eye protection, and you will also be given eye protection to wear to keep your eyes safe.

What is Laser Tattoo Removal?

Laser technology is the most effective way to remove or repair a tattoo. The Laser produces very short pulses of light. It passes through the upper layer of skin and reacts to pigment changes (ink) in your natural skin color. The laser fragments the ink into very fine particles. The body's natural immune system then further breaks down and expels the ink. The laser does not react when it contacts your natural skin color, only when it senses the ink. Laser Tattoo Removal has been recognized as the best technique to remove tattoos without scarring or skin damage.

What will does Laser Tattoo Removal Cost? How do I pay? Do I need to make a deposit?

Each tattoo is unique and as a result of the above mentioned factors, each individual must be evaluated via consultation to determine an accurate estimate. Generally, the treatments can run from $99-$250 per session, bus as mentioned above, the size, color, location, health, and the age of the tattoo can all affect the bottom line over time. Additional "No Charge" treatments are available when purchasing multiple treatments. 

Does Laser Tattoo Removal hurt and how long does it take to recover?

The initial treatment utilizes lower power of the laser. With successive treatments, the power is increased. The feeling has been described as a snap of a rubber band to splattering of grease on the skin. Individuals react differently to the sense. Most say it is not as painful as having the tattoo applied. It is also much quicker that receiving a tattoo - so it's over before you know it. Your pain tolerance can be at it's best if you make sure that you have eaten, gotten a good nights sleep, and you are not fighting off a cold or other illness.

For a few days after the treatment the skin may show some signs of redness or swelling around the treated area with a mild to medium suburb sensation. There may b e a slight chance of some blistering albeit rare, which is left to dissipate on it's own after a couple of days. most aftercare involves using a sunscreen, minimum SPF 50 and a moisturizer such as Aquaphor with natural breathing of the skin the best for recovery and healing. Bandaging may sometimes be used for the first 24 hours only.

Can I bring my Grandma, BFF, Football Team, or my kids to my appointment?

Our Laser Tattoo Removal treatment room is very small with no windows - as it is important and required that laser beams do not escape the space. We will not allow your child in the room with you while getting your treatment, and we prefer that you come alone. If you require a support person, they will also need to wear eye protection, but it is better if they wait in the lobby. It's super quick, we promise!  There is not space in the treatment room for more than yourself, the tech, and a single support person.

How long will it take to remove my tattoo?

Location, size, and variety of colors determine the best treatment plan. Tattoo removal is a process that takes place over a period of time. Several factors play a part in how long between treatments such as location on the body, to your general health, colors, and skin condition. Treatments can range from 6-12 and can take from several months to nearly two years for complete results. Generally, the longer between treatments, the better the result. A minimum of 4-6 weeks between treatments is recommended.

Do you repair damaged tattoos or do cover-ups?

Laser Tattoo Removal treatments offer a huge benefit if you want to change or r3epair an existing tattoo. Your tattoo artist knows best how to deal with a cover up. Consult with him or her to determine the best course of action. A cover up can be much more effective after a few treatments of Laser Tattoo Removal and the artist can advise you on what is best in your specific situation.
